Then mistral¹
to rouse²
paint in this bare room.
The man asleep near a heater
thinks of a table³
orange props, a lamp. Noise
of glasses

to tame time but also
blankness is a mooring.⁴
There is no boon but the one thing.
Out there,
she⁵ too has troubles.
She puts on a plain robe.<sup>6
